Central University of Jammu announces Non-Teaching Staff Vacancies under Employment Notification No. 34 2025

The Central University of Jammu has issued Employment Notification No. 34 for various non-teaching positions under direct recruitment and deputation mode. The online application process will be active from October 29, 2025, to November 16, 2025, through the official website www.cujammu.ac.in. Eligible candidates possessing the required educational qualifications and age criteria can apply online by paying a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD categories, and regular employees of the Central University of Jammu are exempted from paying the fee.

As per the notification, appointments will be made in accordance with the Cadre Recruitment Rules of the University and the Government of India norms. Applicants are advised to carefully verify their eligibility before submission. The University reserves the right to not fill any of the advertised positions or to increase or decrease the number of posts as deemed necessary.

Applications must be submitted only through the online portal, as paper-based or offline forms will not be accepted. Candidates should keep a printout of the completed online application and payment receipt for document verification or skill test purposes.

Vacancy Details:
The Central University of Jammu has invited applications for a total of five non-teaching posts. The details of the vacancies are as follows.

Librarian – one post (UR),
Deputy Librarian – one post (UR),
Assistant Librarian – one post (UR),
Internal Audit Officer – one post (UR-PwBD), and
Library Attendant – one post (UR-PwBD).

Eligibility Criteria:
For the post of Librarian, the tenure is five years. Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks and a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. They should also have at least ten years of experience as a Librarian or teaching experience in Library Science. The upper age limit for this post is below 57 years.

For Deputy Librarian, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks and a Ph.D. in the relevant field. They should have eight years of experience as an Assistant Librarian or College Librarian. The upper age limit for this post is 50 years.

For Assistant Librarian, candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks and a good academic record. Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR is mandatory, or the candidate must hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations. The maximum age limit for this post is 45 years.

For Internal Audit Officer, the post is to be filled on a deputation basis. Applicants should be officers from Audit and Accounts Services or other similar organized Accounts Services in Central or State Governments holding analogous posts on a regular basis, or with three years of regular service in Level 11 or five years in Level 10. The upper age limit for this post is 56 years.

For Library Attendant, the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination and possess a certificate course in Library Science. One year of experience in a university or college library and basic knowledge of computer applications are required. The maximum age limit for this post is 35 years.

How to Apply:
Applicants should ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility and age conditions as of the last date of application submission. Experience certificates must be properly formatted and issued by the competent authority on official letterhead with clear mention of designation, duration, and signature.

Application Fee:
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates is Rs. 1000. SC, ST, PwBD candidates, and regular employees of the University are exempted from the fee. Payment should be made online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. The fee once paid is non-refundable.

Selection Process:
The selection process will consist of a written test, skill test, and interview depending on the post category. For Group A posts, a written test may be conducted if eligible applicants exceed twenty. The written test will be objective type with negative marking, and minimum qualifying marks will be fifty percent. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview or skill test.

The selected candidates will be governed by University Statutes and Government of India service rules, including the National Pension System. Appointments will be made on a contractual basis with a probation period of two years. Candidates will be required to produce medical fitness and verification certificates before joining.
