The Central Bureau of Investigation has released the official notification inviting applications for 30 Law Intern posts under the CBI Law Internship Scheme 2025. These positions will be filled through a short-term engagement aimed at providing practical exposure to law students.
As per the official notification of the CBI Academy, the internship will take place across locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bangalore. Candidates selected will assist officers with legal research, trial work, court documentation, and data analysis. No stipend or accommodation will be provided, and the internship is purely for academic exposure.
Eligible law students must apply online via www.cbi.gov.in by 30 May 2025. All applications must be supported by educational documents and a recommendation letter from the head of the institution. The internship period will range from 3 to 6 months depending on the posting and assignment.

Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must be law students enrolled in a reputed law university/institute. Those in the 5-year integrated LLB program should have completed or be in the 8th semester. Students in the 3-year LLB program must have completed or be in the 4th semester.
Other Requirements:
Candidates must be Indian citizens and must provide a recommendation letter and proof of enrollment from their institution. Interns must also sign an oath of secrecy at the time of joining. There is no provision for stipend, accommodation, or future employment assurance with CBI.
