BSI Notification 2025: Apply for 14 Posts including JRF, Field Assistant and DEO by 30 April

The Botanical Survey of India (BSI), under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has announced a project-based opportunity for eligible candidates in the Great Nicobar Island. Applications are invited for various posts on a purely temporary contractual basis including Junior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Field Assistant, Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant, and Data Entry Operator cum Accountant.

As per the official notification, these appointments are for a special project and require strong fieldwork ability and discipline-specific expertise. The engagement will involve working on conservation, research, data entry, and support tasks in Nicobar and surrounding areas.

Eligibility Criteria:

1) Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc. in Botany or Natural Science with at least 55% marks.
Max age: 28 years.
Salary: โ‚น31,000 + HRA (with NET/GATE) or โ‚น25,000 + HRA (without).

2) Research Associate: Ph.D. in Botany or Natural Science.
Max age: 40 years.
Salary: โ‚น47,000 + HRA.

3) Field Assistant: 12th pass or B.Sc. in Botany.
Max age: 30 years.
Salary: โ‚น18,000 consolidated.

4) Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant: 10th pass.
Max age: 35 years.
Salary: โ‚น18,000 consolidated.

5) Data Entry Operator cum Accountant: Graduate in Commerce or Diploma in Accounting/Computer.
Max age: 35 years.
Salary: โ‚น30,000 consolidated.
