Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Hiring Junior Research Assistant in Civil Engineering
Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, J&K, has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) under the JKSTIC-funded research project. The project focuses on soil erosion assessment on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway using the RUSLE Model. The position is initially for one year but may be extended based on performance and project approval.
As per the official notification, candidates must have a background in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Geoinformatics with expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, or Satellite Image Analysis. Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has invited applications for the following position under the JKSTIC project:
Position: Junior Research Assistant
Number of Posts: 1
Salary: ₹20,000 per month

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for this position must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should meet one of the following qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering with a major project related to GIS, Remote Sensing, or Satellite Image Analysis (Minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5).
OR B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a valid GATE/NET score (Minimum 70% or CGPA 7.5).
OR M.Sc in Geology, Geoinformatics, Earth Sciences, or Geography with a minimum of 60% marks and expertise in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Satellite Image Analysis.
Additional Requirements:
Prior knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing, Satellite Image Analysis, or Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is desirable.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit is as per university regulations.
