Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have a degree from any recognized university or institution. The minimum age limit is 21 years, and the upper age limit is 38 years as on 1 January 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, up to 10 years for PwBD candidates, and up to 50–55 years for Ex-Servicemen based on category.
Candidates must also be able to speak Assamese or another official language of Assam and must be original inhabitants of the state.

The application fee for the recruitment process is structured according to categories:

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a three-stage process:
The first stage is the Preliminary Examination consisting of two objective papers. Paper I and Paper II are of 200 marks each, with Paper II being qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify prelims will be eligible for the Main Examination.
The Main Examination includes six descriptive papers covering essay writing and general studies. Qualified candidates will be called for a Personality Test/Interview carrying 180 marks. Final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview.
