Aligarh Muslim University has released an official notification inviting online applications for Assistant Professor positions in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The vacancies are available in different departments, and eligible candidates can submit their online applications by 17th September 2025.
As mentioned in the notification, the hard copy of the filled application form with required self-attested documents must be submitted to the university by 3rd October 2025. The posts are offered in AL-10 pay level, ranging from Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400. Applicants must ensure they fulfill the educational qualifications before applying.
Candidates are required to apply only through the AMU Careers Portal. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500 must be paid online, while PwD candidates are exempted on submission of a valid disability certificate. Detailed vacancy and eligibility criteria are explained below.

Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery: 1 post.
Assistant Professor in Pathology: 1 post.
Assistant Professor in Radiodiagnosis: 2 posts.
Assistant Professor in Surgery: 3 posts.
Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery: 1 post.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria vary by department. For Community Medicine, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Radiodiagnosis, and Surgery, candidates must have MD, MS, or DNB in the relevant subject along with one year of Senior Residency in a recognised medical college after completing MD/MS. For Neurosurgery, DM, MCh, or DNB in the concerned subject is required. The pay scale is AL-10 (Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400).

Applicants must apply online only through the careers portal careers.amuonline.ac.in. After submission, candidates must print the application form, sign it, paste a photograph, attach self-attested copies of documents, and send it to the Selection Committee Section (Teaching), Office of the Registrar, AMU, Aligarh–202002 before 3rd October 2025.
Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs. 500, payable online at the time of application. PwD applicants are exempted from fee payment if they upload a valid disability certificate.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on eligibility verification and interview. Applicants working in government or other institutions must apply through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
