Bureau of Indian Standards Deputy Director Posts Notification 2025, Check Details

Bureau of Indian Standards has released a notice for multiple Deputy Director positions. The drive includes posts in Administration and Finance, Marketing and Consumer Affairs, Publication and Hindi across India.

The Bureau of Indian Standards has announced a notification for filling multiple Deputy Director positions on deputation basis. A total of eleven vacancies have been released under different categories including Administration and Finance, Marketing and Consumer Affairs, Publication and Hindi.

The posts are open to eligible officers currently serving in Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Statutory or Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings. The maximum age limit for all the posts is 56 years as on the last date of submission. The pay level for all positions is Level 11 ranging from Rs. 67700 to Rs. 208700.

Candidates fulfilling the required service and educational conditions are invited to send their applications through proper channel. The filled application must reach BIS within 45 days from the publication of the advertisement in Employment News or Rozgar Samachar. The terms of deputation may extend between two to three years depending on the post.

The registration process for the vacancies will remain open for 45 days from the date of notification in the Employment News or Rozgar Samachar. Candidates must ensure to submit their applications within this time frame.

The postings are spread across BIS Headquarters in New Delhi and offices located in Chennai, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria:
Below, we have summarized the required eligibility criteria, such as qualification, age limit and experience. For Deputy Director Administration and Finance, candidates should hold an MBA in Personnel or PG in HR or a Law Degree with eight years’ experience in personnel or finance. For Deputy Director Finance, a bachelor’s degree along with CA, Cost Accountant, SAS Accountant or MBA Finance is required with eight years of accounts experience. For Deputy Director Marketing and Consumer Affairs, candidates need MBA Marketing or Master’s in Mass Communication or Social Work with five years’ experience. For Deputy Director Publication, a bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts with a diploma in printing or publication and five years in scientific publishing is required. For Deputy Director Hindi, candidates should have a master’s degree in Hindi, English or any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level. The maximum age limit for all posts is 56 years.
