Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has released the official advertisement inviting applications for the position of Senior and Junior House Officers in various departments. A total of 105 posts are available across multiple specialities in the Associated Hospitals of GMC Jammu for the session July 2025 to December 2025.
According to the official notification, candidates appointed to these positions will serve a tenure of six months on a consolidated salary. Applicants must be medical graduates, and interns completing their internship by 30 June 2025 are also eligible to apply for Junior House Officer posts.
Interested candidates can collect the application form from the office of the Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital (GMC) Jammu, between 17 May 2025 and 16 June 2025. The filled application form must be submitted by 23 June 2025. The written exam and counselling dates have been officially announced.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying must have completed their MBBS degree. Those who are completing their internship by 30 June 2025 are also eligible for Junior House Officer positions. The appointment will be for six months only, and all candidates must appear for a written exam as part of the selection process.

Applicants should collect the application form from the office of the Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu between 17 May 2025 to 16 June 2025. The completed form must be submitted on or before 23 June 2025.
Application Fee:
Candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 50 through FC-1(GR) form while collecting the application form.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on a written examination followed by counselling. The written test will be held on 27 June 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Auditorium/Conference Hall of SMGS Hospital, Jammu. Counselling will take place on 30 June 2025 in the office chamber of the Principal & Dean, SMGS Hospital, Jammu.
