UPSC Recruitment 2024 Notification, Apply Online for 400+ Vacancies

UPSC Recruitment 2024: The Union Public Service Commission has invited online applications for the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025. UPSC has reopened the application window for UPSC ESE 2025 on October 18, 2024. The number of vacancies to be filled through ESE 2024 has increased to 457 Posts. The Govt. has decided to include the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) with its sub-cadres of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal & Telecom, and Stores in the scheme of ESE, 2025. Candidates who want to apply for the Engineering Services Examination 2025 (ESE 2025) can apply through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

The last date for the submission of applications is November 22, 2024. The correction window will reopen again on November 23 and closes on November 29, 2024. Candidates who have already applied for the ESE 2025 need not apply again. However, they can make corrections to their OTR profile during the application window from October 18 to November 22, 2024.

Candidates who want to apply should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st of January 2025. The selection of applicants will be based on Examination (Prelims & Mains). Applicants who are not exempted have to pay an application fee of Rs. 200/-. The Union Public Service Commission invites online applications from Engineering degree holders for 457 Grade A & B positions in Central Government Departments in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Recruitment 2024 for Engineering Services Exam

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Qualification: Candidates must possess B.E./B.Tech. Degree in the following disciplines from a recognized University or Institution:
i) Civil Engineering
ii) Mechanical Engineering
iii) Electrical Engineering
iv) Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Age Limit: Candidates who want to apply should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January 2025, i.e., Applicants must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2004.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 200/- for all candidates. The Female/SC/ST/PwBD are exempted from payment of the fee. The fee can be paid either by remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank. Selection Process

The Selection process of the Engineering Service Examination involves the following Stages:

Stage-1: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage-II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination;
Stage-2: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and
Stage-3: Personality Test

Steps to Apply

Candidates who wish to apply for the mentioned posts should follow the steps mentioned below:-

Step 1: Visit the Union Public Service Commission’s website at www.upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations of UPSC” available on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill in the basic details like name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email ID, etc. to complete the registration process.
Step 4: Log in to the online application portal by entering your Email ID and Password/OTP.
Step 5: Fill out the application form carefully by entering applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee, etc.
Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents like photographs, signatures, etc.
Step 7: Make a payment of the online application fee to complete the application process.
Step 8: Finally submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
