Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has appointed new Vice-Chancellors for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu.
Professor Pragati Kumar from Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, appointed VC of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science) at ICAR, New Delhi, appointed VC of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu.
Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, who serves as the Chancellor of both universities, has authorized these appointments.
The tenure for these roles is three years or until the age of 65, whichever comes first, starting from the assumption of their Vice-Chancellor positions.
