National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has released an official notification inviting applications from Engineering Graduates for the recruitment of Engineering Executive Trainees in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Mining, Computer Science and Information Technology through GATE-2025 (Advt. No.14/24).

Candidates selected for Deputy Manager positions will be paid a monthly salary between Rs. 80,000 – 2,00,000/-. The selection of applicants will be based on an Interview.

Eligibility Criteria of NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee Recruitment 2025 Notification

• Qualification: Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. or its equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Mining, Computer Science and Information Technology from a recognized University or Institution.
• GATE Score: Candidates must have a valid GATE 2025 Score in the relevant paper codes i.e. EE, ME, EC, IN, CE, MN, CS / IT.

Salary of NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee Recruitment 2025

The selected candidates will be placed in the pay grade of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 with a basic salary of Rs. 40,000/- (Grade E1). The other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training / after absorption.

Selection Process

The selection process involves the following stages:

1) Shortlisting: The authorities will shortlist the candidates based on their GATE 2025 Score in the relevant discipline.
2) Group Discussion & Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for further stages including an Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and document verification.
3) Merit List: The merit list of the selected applicants will be prepared on the basis of the following stages:
i) GATE Score (85% weightage)
ii) Group Discussion Score (5% weightage)
iii) Interview Score (10% weightage)
