NITI Aayog Internship Scheme 2024, Check Eligibility and Application Process

NITI Aayog Internship Scheme 2024: NITI Aayog Internship Scheme, applications are invited for the engagement of eligible candidates pursuing Under Graduate / Graduate / Post Graduate Degrees or are Research Scholars enrolled in recognized University/ Institution within India or abroad, as “interns”. These ‘interns” shall be given exposure to NITI’s verticals/divisions/cells. This will allow short term exposure of “selected candidates” with the different Verticals/Divisions/Units of NITI Aayog, Government of India as ‘Interns”.

Undergraduate/postgraduate students or research scholars enrolled in recognized universities/institutions in India and abroad can apply for the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme. Applicants will have to apply online by filling up the registration form. The online application portal opens from 1-10 of every month.

The duration of the internship will be at least six weeks and not more than six months. Upon completion of their internships, students will be awarded certificates. Interns must maintain at least 75 % attendance during the internship. Those with low attendance will not be eligible for an extension and certificate of internship.

The Scheme has the following objectives:
To allow young academic talent to be associated with the NITI Aayog’s work for mutual benefit. The “intern” shall have an opportunity to know about the Government functioning and Developmental Policy issues in Government of India and contribute to the Policy formulation by generating polic

Eligibility of NITI Aayog Internship Scheme 2024

Candidates of any recognized University/Institution within India or abroad, fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for the internship:-

• Undergraduate students who have completed or appeared in the end-semester examination are eligible to apply for the NITI Aayog internship. Applicants also require at least 85 % marks in the Class 12 board exam.
• Postgraduate students who have completed the 1st or 2nd semester or are pursuing research/PhD can apply for the internship. These candidates require 70 % or more marks at graduation level.
• Those who have appeared in the final examination or just completed the UG/PG degree and waiting for admission to higher studies may also be considered for the internship, provided that they have secured 70 % or more marks in all the years/semesters of their degree course till the date of application, and the period between the declaration of final results and the desired month of internship is not more than six months.

Candidates who wish to apply for the mentioned Internship should follow the steps mentioned below:-

• Visit the official website i.e https://www.niti.gov.in/internship
• After reading the instructions to fill in the form.
• Fill in the required details.
• In the field “Area of Interest”, choose only one area of interest.
• Preview the application to verify all details.
• In case any correction is needed, click on Edit button.
• If all fields are correct, submit button will appear for final submission of form. Then click Submit.

Documents Required

Marksheets of class 10th and 12th. Marksheets of all semesters/years of graduation, PG, along with the degree (as applicable) NOC in a specific format as mentioned in the application guidelines.
