Kashmir University PhD Admissions 2024: The University of Kashmir has invited Online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D programme in the below-mentioned disciplines/subjects in the main and other satellite campuses of the university.
Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply online through the link available on the website of the University of Kashmir (www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in).

Application Fee: Applicants are required to deposit a non-refundable application fee of Rs.100/- through online mode.

Eligibility criteria for admission to Ph. D Programme
i) Master’s Degree in the concerned subject/allied subject from a recognized university or in any recognized Professional Degree declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree by the Equivalence Committee of the University or an equivalent Degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under law having this mandate or by an Equivalence Committee of the University with 55% marks in aggregate, or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed, excluding grace/statutory marks, if any.
ii) The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET/JRF, SET/GATE or any other equivalent test declared so by the UGC or have passed M.Phil with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7-point scale. Dissertations of those scholars, who have completed their M.Phil from any UGC-recognized university/institution other than the University of Kashmir, shall be checked for plagiarism/similarity index before such applicants are considered for admission to Ph. D programme.
However, a relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), persons with disability (PWDs) and other categories of candidates approved by the university.
