Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligibile candidates for Project Engineer – I (Electronics) & Project Research Assistant Posts. There are 02 no. of vacancies opened for the mentioned position.

As mentioned in the official notification of IIA the upper age limit for the mentioned posts is 30 years (age relaxation as per rules). Candidates selected for mentioned positions will be paid a monthly salary between Rs. 36,000/- to Rs. 75,000/-. The selection of applicants will be based on a written test/ interview.

Eligibility Criteria of IIA Recruitment 2024

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

As mentioned in the official notification of IIA. We have mentioned the post-wise qualification required below:-

• Project Engineer – I (Electronics): Full-time post-graduate degree of M.E/ M.Tech in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation with 60% marks with One (01) year of experience in FPGA based HDL development in a reputed Industry/ Research Organization and having hands-on experience in scripting FPGA-based design in Verilog/ VDHL, synthesis, simulation and test bench development using Vivado toolchain.
  OR
  Full-time graduate degree of B.E/ B.Tech in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering /Instrumentation with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade.
  
• Project Research Assistant: Full-time postgraduate degree of M.S in Astronomy and Astrophysics with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade after completing B.E/ B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace/Computer Science with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade.

Age Limit

Before applying candidates must fulfill the age requirement criteria as mentioned in the notification. The upper age limit for the above-mentioned position mentioned in the official notification is 30 years.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a review of applications, which may be followed by a written test/ interview. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on higher qualifications and experience than the minimum requirements.
