Doordarshan Kendra Jammu Recruitment 2024: Prasar Bharti, Regional News Unit, Doordarshan Kendra Jammu has invited applications for empanelment of Stringers/Cameramen from individuals, proprietors, Partnership firms, and corporate bodies/Organizations with experience in visual coverages.
Five Stringers are required in the Jammu district and two each in the districts of Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Doda, and Kishtwar.

Applicants equipped with four-wheel vehicles should be well aware of digital broadcast tools and have qualifications, experience and expertise in cinematography/Videography/news gathering/ broadcast journalism.

Applications in the prescribed format at Annexure ‘A’ duly supported with Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- towards non-refundable processing fee in favour of Drawing & Disbursing Officer, Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu should be submitted in a sealed cover with superscription “Empanelment of Stringers of DD News mentioning Town/ Headquarter/City applying for” to the following address: Head of News, Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu, Near Taali Morh, Janipur, Jammu 180007 within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
Applicants should mention in the application form the names of towns and cities where they would wish to be empanelled. Empanelled stringers are expected to service the Regional News Unit of Doordarshan Kendra Jammu and also coverages in DVC-Pro/DV-Cam/CCD/Mini DV for short features on news, current affairs, sports, business and other subjects.
Details of other terms and conditions prescribed in guidelines issued by Directorate General, Doordarshan News can be downloaded from the website www.ddindia.gov.in or DD News Jammu twitter handle or may be obtained from the Head of News, DDK Jammu on all working days (11:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with-in one month of publication of this advertisement.
The photocopy of the original bill is must to prove the camera ownership. The stringers will be paid for the coverages as per the fee structure or guidelines issued by Prasar Bharat’ from time to time. All applicants are requested to go through the guidelines before applying for the stringership.
