The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) has announced the opening of applications for admission to three-year diploma programs in polytechnic professional courses, both in engineering and non-engineering fields. These courses are available in government and private polytechnics across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the academic session of 2023-2024.
To apply, interested candidates must complete the online application process before June 30, 2023. Eligibility criteria require applicants to be domiciled in either the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or the Union Territory of Ladakh. For all courses, except Medical Lab Technology, applicants must have successfully passed the secondary school examination (matriculation or an equivalent examination). For Medical Lab Technology, a pass in the 12th standard in the medical stream is required.
Applicants, regardless of their category (open or reserved), must have secured a minimum of 35 percent marks in their 10th or 12th class examinations. The necessary documents for the online application include a domicile certificate, marks certificate, date of birth certificate, reserved category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), and a photograph.
Selection of candidates will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th class/12th class for MLT courses). The fee structure for government polytechnic colleges will be INR 2,230 per annum, while for private polytechnic colleges, it will be INR 17,335 per annum.
