The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the implementation of rationalized syllabi and textbooks for Classes 9th to 12th, starting from the current academic session.
This decision is based on the guidelines of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and follows the pattern set by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi.
The rationalized syllabi and textbooks aim to reduce the content load on students and promote experiential learning with a creative approach, in line with the NEP 2020.
The notification informs all concerned stakeholders that the rationalized syllabi and textbooks, similar to those adopted by NCERT, will be implemented in all JKBOSE-affiliated schools from the academic session 2023-24.
Furthermore, the notification states that the rationalized syllabi, including the deleted contents, will be made available on the JKBOSE website in due course of time.
