BARC Recruitment of Scientific Officers – Eligibility, Salary, Selection Process, Important Dates and Full Notification: Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), has invited online applications for the recruitment of Scientific Officer (Group A) posts through Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) and DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme (DGFS) 2023.
The recruitment of a Scientific Officer is generally done through One-Year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) for the year 2023-24 and Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS) for the year 2023-24.

Selection Procedure:
The selection process of BARC Scientific Officer comprises of following stages as listed below:
– Screening to shortlist candidates (Based on Online Examination and GATE 2022/2023 Score)
– Interviews of the shortlisted candidates
Recruitment Schemes:
Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates OCES-2023 (Scheme-I): One-Year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates starting for the 2023-24 academic year will be conducted at BARC Training Schools situated at BARC, Mumbai/ IGCAR, Kalpakkam/NFC, Hyderabad/RRCAT, Indore/AMD, Hyderabad.
DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme DGFS-2023 (Scheme-II): Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates for joining M.Tech. / M.Chem.Engg. in select specializations starting for AY 2023-24 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and BHU-Varanasi / National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela / Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai.
Benifits:
On successful completion of the OCES or DGFS programs, Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) and DGFS Fellows will be appointed as Scientific Officers in one of the DAE units or Atomic Energy Regulatory Board with attractive career progression opportunities up to the highest echelons.
After successful completion of the Training Programme, the selected candidates will be absorbed as Scientific Officer in a Group-A Post of the Government of India in the Level 10- Rs. 56,100/- of 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Total Emoluments, with three increments at the time of joining, will be approximately Rs. 1,10,000/-p.m. at the present Mumbai rate.
In addition, the officer would also be availing other benefits such as L.T.C., medical facilities for the Officer and his / her dependent family members, Children’s Edueation Allowance and Professional Update Allowance.
