UPSC NDA 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy – The candidates should be 12th passed candidates of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy – Students should 12th passed with Physics and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
UPSC NDA 2023 Age Limit:
- Minimum Age Limit – 15.7 years
- Max Age Limit – 18.7 years
UPSC NDA 2023 Selection Method
There will be two rounds. Candidates who apply for the exam will be called for the following:
- Written Exam
- Interview
UPSC NDA Exam 2023
The first round of selection is a written exam. The candidates can check the details related to the exam in the table below:

UPSC NDA Interview 2023
Those who clear the written exam will be called for SSB Interview,The SSB procedure consists of two stages – stage I and stage II.
Stage I – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests which include Picture Perception/Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.
Stage 2 – Comprises of Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.

Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available
on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination.
