JK Fisheries Dept: Applications are invited from unemployed youth/interested persons of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir who intend to adopt Trout Fish Culture under “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana” (PMMSY) during the year 2022-23.
Establishment of Trout Units with Input Cost in the Private Sector

– Subsidy Component: 40 % for General Category & 60% for SC/ST Women Category
Terms & Conditions:
- The intended beneficiary shall be in possession of a land facility where 50 cu.mt rearing space can be created with allied structures of watch and ward, feed/ equipment store.
- The intended land shall be proprietary land free of mortgages and other encumbrances.
- The intended land shall have a suitable gradient for Trout culture practices.
- The water source, to be utilized for the Trout culture shall be perennial in nature, preferably a spring source, having suitable physio-chemical parameters, particularly Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen Content.
- The shortlisting of the sites with respect to feasibility shall be carried out by the District Level Committee keeping in view the Mapping and subsequent climatic conditions of the area.
- The final Selection of the intended sites shall be the domain of the District Level Committee framed vide Govt. Order No. 944-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated: 15-10-2020 and shall be guided by the necessary orders/guidelines clarifications issued in this regard from time to time& subject to the availability of funds under the scheme.

The applications shall be invariably submitted in the respective offices of Dy. Director/ Chief Project Officer/Assistant Director Fisheries of the concerned District/Project up to 15th October 2022.
