PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2025 Notification Out

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has released PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2025 Notification inviting online applications for the Recruitment of fresh Engineering Graduates for Executive positions as ENGINEER TRAINEE-2025 in Electrical/Electronics/Civil/Computer Science disciplines through GATE-2025. Applicants interested in joining PGCIL as Engineer Trainees in 2025 are required to appear for the GATE 2025 exam.

Interested and eligible candidates have to apply online through the official website of POWERGRID i.e., www.powergrid.in. The application window for POWERGRID will begin in Feb 2025 and will close in March 2025.

Besides vacancies of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), vacancies also exist for the post of ENGINEER TRAINEE in various disciplines in Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), which is presently a wholly owned subsidiary of POWERGRID.

Eligibility Criteria of PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2025

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

As mentioned in the official notification of PGCIL Recruitment through GATE 2025, we have mentioned the post-wise qualification required below:-

1) Engineer Trainee (Electrical): B.E./ B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical/Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical).
2) Engineer Trainee (Civil): B.E./ B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil Engineering.
3) Engineer Trainee (Electronics): B.E./ B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Electrical Communication / Telecommunication Engg.
4) Engineer Trainee (Computer Science): B.E./ B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Technology.

Age Limit

Before applying candidates must fulfill the age requirement criteria as mentioned in the notification. The post-wise age limit is given below:-

The maximum age limit should not exceed 28 years to apply for PGCIL Recruitment through GATE 2025.

The upper age limit would be relaxable for reserved categories as indicated below:

Selection Process of PGCIL Engineer Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2025

The Selection Process consists of marks obtained in the corresponding paper of GATE 2025, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

Eligible candidates will have to appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2025, i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) / Electronics and Communication (EC) / Civil Engineering (CE)/ Computer Science Engineering (CS).

Salary of PGCIL Engineer Trainees

Basic Pay is Rs. 40,000/-. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer in E2 scale – Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1,60,000/-.

Application Fee

Applicants are advised to pay an Application fee of Rs. 500/-. However, SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/DEx-SM candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.

• Now click on the Apply Link provided below the advertisement.
• If you are a new user, make a registration and then Log in.
• Fill in the application form.
• Upload necessary documents.
• Pay the application fee through the prescribed mode.
• Submit the filled online form.
• Take a printout of the final submitted application form for future use.
