DRDO Invites Offline Applications for RA & JRF Positions; Download Application Form

Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligibile candidates for Research Associate / Junior Research Fellows Posts. There are 19 no. of vacancies opened for the mentioned position.

As mentioned in the official notification released by DIPAS the age limit for the mentioned posts is between 28 -35 years (age relexation as per rules). Candidates selected for JRF & RA positions will be paid a monthly salary between Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 67,000/-. The selection of applicants will be based on Interview.

Eligibility Criteria for DRDO JRF/RA Application

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

As mentioned in the official notification of DIPAS. We have mentioned the post-wise qualification required below:-

• Research Associate: Ph.D in any branch of Life Science
• Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.Tech) in Life Sciences / Human Physiology / Biochemistry / Biomedical Sciences / Biotechnology / Biophysics / Molecular Biology / Zoology / Bioinformatics / Genetics with valid NET/GATE/ National level examination conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies.

Age Limit

Before applying candidates must fulfill the age requirement criteria mentioned in the official notification. The post-wise age limit is given below:-

• Research Associate: Maximum of 35 years for RA post as of the last date of receipt of applications.
• Junior Research Fellow: Maximum of 28 years for RA post as of the last date of receipt of applications.
  
  Note: 5 years relaxation to SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per Govt. rules.

Selection Process

The selection of applicants will be based on the Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be communicated through email to appear for the interview. The reporting time shall be 09:00 – 10:00 hrs at the main gate
reception of DIPAS, Timarpur, Delhi-110054.

Posting Tenure & Location

• Research Associate: Tenure of RA would be limited to a maximum period of two years.
• Junior Research Fellow: Tenure of JRF would be limited to a maximum period of five years. Selected JRF would work initially for first two years as JRF and would subsequently be elevated as SRF for the remaining three years, subject to satisfactory performance, assessed annually as per DRDO guideline.

DRDO Application Procedure 2024

Application form can be downloaded from the website www.drdo.gov.in and the candidate should send hard copy of duly filled application form along with supporting documents to Head-HRD, DIPAS, DRDO, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi-110054, through registered post.

(NOTE: The candidate is required to mention post code on the envelope).
Last date of receipt of application form is 26th August, 2024.
