Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligibile candidates for Chairperson Posts. There are one (01) no. of vacancies opened for the mentioned position.

As mentioned in the official notification of FSSAI the age limit for the mentioned posts is below 65 years (age relexation as per rules). Candidates selected for the position of chairperson will be paid a monthly salary Rs. 2,25,000/- per month (Fixed).

Eligibility Criteria for FSSAI Chairperson Post

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

Applicants for selection to the office of Chairperson, FSSAI shall be persons of eminence in the field of Food Science or persons from Administration who have been associated with the subject and is either holding or has held a position not below the rank of Secretary to the Govt. of India.

Relevant work experience related to Central/ State Regulatory Bodies would be a desirable qualification for the position.

Age Limit

The Chairperson shall hold office for a term of three years from the date on which he/she enters upon the office and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a further period of three years or till he/she attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.

Applications are invited from interested and eligible citizens of India who fulfill the eligibility criteria in the given proforma. The proforma can be downloaded from the website www.mohfw.gov.in or dopt.gov.in or fssai.gov.in.
